Zygmunt Kolosowski was co-directed by Boris Dmochowski, who also essayed the title role. Filmed in Polish, the story concerns a patriotic poet who spends his evenings rescuing his countrymen from the clutches of their Teuton captors. He also indulges in random acts of sabotage, striking terror in the hearts of his enemies. Dmochowski the director certainly favors Dmochowski the actor, to the detriment of the large and talented supporting cast. The first Polish-language production to be given a widespread release in the U.S., Zygmunt Kolosowski was not a significant success.
