Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankjar, who previously collaborated on Two Women (1996), directed this drama about AIDS in India where the number of HIV-infected is almost two million. The story interweaves plotlines featuring a slum dweller with AIDS, a Naval officer who has a car accident and gets a blood transfusion, and a doctor who traces the tainted blood to a corrupt blood-bank manager. Shown at the 1998 Mill Valley Film Festival.
