This "trick" film was released as a companion feature to Pathe's How Rastus Got His Turkey. Set in Holland, the film focuses on a dutch kitchen slavey as she washes the dinner dishes. Much to the girl's amazement, the tiny figures painted on the plates suddenly come to life. They dance around the kitchen, then move out into the countryside, stupefying, terrorizing, and fascinating everyone they meet. When their holiday is over, the figures scurry back to their plates and resume their immobile state. Pathe's patented color-tinting process was shown to excellent advantage in this one.
