The Big Chill meets Stray Dog in this action-packed flick directed by pink eiga auteur Koji Wakamatsu. The film centers on a former '60s radical (Yoshio Harada) turned bar owner in Tokyo's sleazy red-light district, Kabukicho. At the film's outset, he is throwing a final bash before he closes his bar for good; his guests include his old friends from his Red Army days along with his old '60s-era flame (Kaori Momoi). The festivities are interrupted when a bleeding Vietnamese refugee (played by Taiwanese pop star Lu Xiuling) bursts into the bar. In broken Japanese, she explains that she killed a yakuza boss and swiped some potentially damaging evidence against the same gang. Soon both the mob and the police -- lead by a crooked detective (Keizo Kanie) -- are after the Vietnamese lass. The bar owner soon realizes that he must keep his dwindling radical spirit alive by protecting her.
