Photographer-turned-feature filmmaker Shingo Wakagi reconstructs an episode from his childhood while paying tribute to his beloved late grandfather - an ageing manzai performer - in this fragmented, semi-autobiographical drama comprised of faded memories and nostalgic flashes. Photography student Nobuto has just finished his studies and returned to the village of Hamamatsu to be with his family. Nobuto's grandfather is a once-popular manzai performer known by the stage name of Takuji who is enjoying his twilight years in the company of his family. As Takuji reaches the end of his life's journey and Nobuto prepares to carve his own path, the affectionate interactions between grandfather and grandson provides the young shutterbug with memories that will last a lifetime. Featuring a cast comprised largely of amateur actors, Wakagi's film serves as a comforting homage to a childhood long gone.
