Voodoo is exposed as a viable religious practice in this documentary by Toshi Matsushita. Though long considered the realm of night worshippers and witches, voodoo has real and meaningful roots in Africa. There, it is practiced with a zeal and seriousness that compares to western religions. With more than 260 gods attributed to it, voodoo can be a complicated and artful observance. In this 45-minute presentation, Matsushita travels to the Republic of Benin to showcase the ancient and varied facets of voodoo worship.
