Unappreciated Genius emanated from the New Jersey film studios of appreciated genius Thomas A. Edison. The story concerns an energetic paperhanger who has been assigned to decorate two walls in a magnificent mansion. The hero gets carried away by his work, and before long everything -- and everyone -- in the house has been covered with wallpaper. At least, that seems to be the plotline of this half-reel farce. The reviewer for the trade paper Variety couldn't make heads nor tails out of the story -- and, apparently, neither could the audience.
