One glance at the title of this Eclipse "scenic," and audiences immediately knew what they were in for. Obviously working under very difficult conditions, the cameraman (cameramen?) managed to capture several thrilling shots of a storm at sea. The image shook, bobbed up and down and swayed side to side, undoubtedly inducing "mal de mer" for many an impressionable filmgoer. Variety noted excitedly that the film actually conveyed a feeling of "real" movement. In this, Trawler Fishing in a Hurricane anticipated the Cinerama process by nearly five decades.
