Unusual for the period, this Pathe drama lists the names of the actors in the opening credits. Not unusual for the period, the film's plotline makes precious little sense. Apparently set in Canada, the story concerns a renegade Indian and a kidnapped heroine. While the nominal hero devotes his energies to rescuing the girl, the "real" acting in the film is performed by the boy playing the hero's young brother (or son). When a fire breaks out in his cabin, it is the boy who resourcefully extinguishes the blaze, displaying more sincerity and raw talent than anyone else in the picture. A final fistfight between hero and villain isn't handled nearly as well as the previous fire scene.
