Trained Birds was released on the same Pathe program as The Suitor's Competition and Caucasian Customs. As in the case of its companion films, the title told all. For approximately 200 feet of film time (roughly 4 minutes), a vaudeville act, consisting of a wide variety of well-trained birds, is performed as if on stage. The "star" of the show is a talented Cockatoo, who presumably could speak as well as act (this being a silent picture, we'll never know). Trained Birds was typical of the sort of "filler" produced by Pathe and other studios to pad out their weekly release schedule.
