A pedestrian silent Western at best, this film was one of six very low-budget oaters in which veteran Western star Fred Church used the moniker "Montana Bill." The Montana Bill series, which co-starred stunt-rider Ione Reed and veteran villain Bud Osborne, was the brainchild of perhaps Hollywood's cheapest producer, William Pizor, and directed, written, and edited by a near-legendary bad film-maker, the one-legged Robert J. Horner. Rather carelessly thrown together, the Montana Bill Westerns were geared to theaters not yet equipped with sound systems.
