The "our" of the title refers to the original population of Australia - the Aboriginal tribes, whose innumerable cultures were indiscriminately wiped out by the arrival of Europeans and forced Anglicization, and whose peoples fell prey to the phony and reprehensible enactment of white superiority. Even to this day, many Australians regard Aboriginals as second-class citizens - inadvertently placing the issue in a firestorm of political controversy and making it one of the country's most hot-button issues. Ishmahil Blagrove, Jr.'s documentary This Is Our Country, Too travels beyond the tourist's-eye-view of Australia so often glimpsed in the west, to give voice to the Aborigines' struggles for equal rights, sovereignty and equality.
