Released just in time for Thanksgiving, this Edison comedy/fantasy is set during the Puritan era. A family of pilgrims set out to visit relatives for the holidays, but their journey is fraught with peril. The family is forced to contend with a pack of wild bears -- who politely stand in line so that the Puritan father can dispatch them all in a single shot! Likewise, a tribe of renegade Indians line themselves up so that they can be killed off quickly and efficiently. The film then shifts to the Present, as a modern-day family encounter such terrors as automobiles and traffic cops during their journey to their grandparents for Thanksgiving dinner.
