Two cowboys vie for the same girl in this three-reel Western-melodrama produced by William Fox at Long Beach, CA. Francis MacDonald and Henry Stanley both love Lucille Younge, but she prefers the unstable Stanley. An alcoholic and a brawler, Stanley is later shot after cheating an Indian in a card game. MacDonald is accused of the shooting and is send to jail, his rival's wounds rendering him unable to clear the matter. The Indian escapes to Canada and in a letter explains the circumstances of the shooting. One reviewer found the acting of the horses in this Western rather more impressive than that of the human players. Both MacDonald and the French-born Lucille Younge would later excel at playing villains.
