College boy Norrie Ford (Forrest Stanley) goes to a lumber camp to visit his uncle and is accused of his murder. He gets convicted but before he can be put to death, he escapes with the help of Miriam Strange, who only refers to herself with the fanciful moniker, "the Wild Olive" (Myrtle Stedman). She sends him to Buenos Aires where he finds employment at a company of her suggestion. Although he has promised to marry the Wild Olive, he is unable to contact her and falls in love with an American girl who is actually Miriam's stepsister. Eventually he becomes manager of his company's New York office and there runs into Olive again. Although he is engaged to her stepsister, he winds up with Miriam anyhow and is finally cleared of the murder charge.
