This documentary revisits the now-legendary night in 1912 when a luxury ocean liner collided with an iceberg and sank beneath the freezing Atlantic waters. The makers of the Titanic had never made a formal claim that it was "unsinkable" - but, presumably, the passengers and crew assumed it was. Some of those on board were saved, but 1500 passengers, crew members, and staff went down with the ship - due, in part, to an insufficient number of life-boats and difficulty communicating with potential rescuers. Rare footage, underwater scenes, and interviews with technical experts, historians, and surviving passengers are all included in this documentary.
