This very routine melodrama was spiced up by some good stunt work courtesy of Kenneth MacDonald. New York con artist Blake (B. Wayne Lamont) travels South and makes the acquaintance of a colonel (Clark Comstock). The two forge a bond over their mutual love of horse racing, but the colonel doesn't realize that Blake just sees him as an easy mark. Blake and his associate (Art Manning) are plotting to swindle the colonel out of his thoroughbred filly. The scheme is going along nicely when auto racer Speed Sherman (MacDonald) figures out their game. He falls in love with the colonel's daughter (Peggy Montgomery) and becomes determined to put a stop to the cons' activities. An auto race and a horse race both figure into the big climax. It's no surprise that Sherman puts the bad guys to rout and wins the hand of the colonel's daughter.
