Charles Ray plays Gordon Carbhoy, a go-getting, varsity football player with a wealthy father (Charles K. French). When he tells his father he can turn $5,000 into $100,000 in six months, his dad stakes him. Gordon heads for the Yukon, but he gets tossed off the train in the vicinity of Snake Falls, Montana. Coal has been discovered near this tiny hamlet, and railroad agent Slosson (Robert McKim) is being courted in the hopes that a station will be built there. Gordon discovers that Slosson is one of his father's men, and through tricks and manipulations, he outwits his father and makes good on his original boast, along with getting the requisite girl (Vola Vale). The elder Carbhoy blows his stack when he finds out he's been had, but eventually he takes it with good humor. This picture was based on the novel by Ridgewell Cullum.
