One of the few genuine "cowgirls," Eileen Sedgwick starred in this terrible low-budget silent Western as Paula Loring, a female rancher whose property is threatened by a gang of cattle rustlers. Paula's virtue is also threatened -- by her nasty neighbor Tom Doyle (Jack Richardson), the secret leader of the gang. To her rescue comes Henry Hayden (Eddie Barry), a government agent masquerading as a drifter. Hayden is discredited by Doyle, however, and soon faces the end of a rope. Rescued in the nick of time by a sharp-shooting Paula, the disguised government agent gets the chance to return the favor a few minutes later when the girl is threatened by one of Doyle's henchmen (Ben Corbett). Rounding up the rest of the gang, Hayden and Paula agree to marry. Director Horace B. Carpenter washed his hands of the whole sorry mess by billing himself "Horace Davey" in the film's credits.
