In 1995, Danish filmmakers Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg, Søren Kragh-Jacobsen and Kristian Levring composed a cinematic "vow of chastity" called Dogme 95. The manifesto called for a radical downsizing of film production, with hand-held cameras, no visual effects, no sets, no lighting and no music. Years later, the Dogme brethren gather for this documentary, looking back at the founding of the movement, the movies they made and whether they truly adhered to the manifesto's rules.
