Known as "America's Pal," lower-echelon cowboy Neal Hart was apparently a cousin of William S. Hart. Neal certainly didn't mind the association, but although he headlined countless oaters from the mid-1910s on, he never came close to emulating his famous relative. This time around he is a miner falsely accused of kidnapping a young girl. The real culprits, it turns out, are a couple of nasty claim jumpers. Hart continued to star in minor oaters and serials through the silent era, producing most of them himself. He was reduced to supporting and bit roles after the changeover to sound, often playing lawmen.
