Harry Carey stars in this routine three-reel Western. The daughter of the railroad president (Claire du Brey) is in her private car when she hears that "Cheyenne" (Carey) had boarded another part of the train and is on his way to serve time for a robbery. The girl remembers him from a hold-up during a dance in her honor and asks to see him. Just when he is brought to her, outlaws hold up the train. They free Cheyenne and kidnap the girl. Cheyenne goes with them. They all head up for the mountains, where Cheyenne protects the young lady's honor. The outlaws fight Cheyenne for the girl and the posse arrives just in time to save the both of them. After hearing of Cheyenne's heroics, the girl's father (T.D. Crittenden) gives him a job. Cheyenne makes good and falls in love with her. Her father is horrified by this and asks him to go away. Cheyenne obliges by telling the girl that the West is calling to him.
