Mignon Anderson plays the long-suffering wife of a brutal foundryman in this drama. She married Bull Robinson (Jack Richardson) when she probably should have wed the loyal Bob Brown (George Fisher), and although she now regrets it, she remains faithful to her wedding vows. Brown's friendship makes it bearable, and he even goes so far as to help Robinson in business. The Robinsons have a teenage daughter, Lily (Clara Horton), who has two suitors -- Harry Dunton, a young engineer (Pat O'Malley), and a foundry hand. Mrs. Robinson, Lily, and Brown all realize that Dunton is the right one, but Robinson tries to force the girl to choose the foundry hand. In a heated argument, Lily says that Robinson is not her father, and he takes it to mean that his wife has been unfaithful with Brown. This leads to a fight between the two men, and Robinson comes out much the worse for wear. He is tenderly nursed by his wife and daughter and comes to the realization that he has treated them poorly for all they have given him. He repents and asks their forgiveness.
