In Florida for the winter season, the Kalem film company turned out this one-reel drama set in a real-life fishing resort. A vacationer from the big city falls in love with the granddaughter of one of the locals. Grandpa disapproves, forcing the girl to elope with the boy. Years later, she is forced to admit that her grandfather was right; her husband is nothing but a callous cad. Deserted and penniless, the heroine returns to the fishing village whence she came, where her grandfather tearfully forgives her. The film leaves several plot lines unresolved, failing among other things to explain what has happened to the girl's baby, who is so prominently featured in several key scenes.
