Once again, the Kalem company offered a pointless, nearly laughless comedy in the form of The Dyspeptic and His Double. The leading character is a middle-aged man with a bad case of indigestion. It so happens that our hero has an exact double who enjoys rich foods and fine wine. Inevitably, the two personalities are confused, and the dyspeptic is fed a gourmet meal while his double is forced to ingest an unappetizing "diet" dish. This goes on for approximately 600 feet, or about eight minutes' worth of screen time. Judging by contemporary reviews, the film was about seven minutes too long.
