That celebrated operatic baritone Thomasino Catti-Cazzaza (who bears a frightening resemblance to our old friend Tom the cat) makes his way through a throng a screaming fans to perform a solo concert. As Thomasino launches into a splendiferous rendition of Rossini's "Largo al Factotum" (aka "Figaro! Figaro!"), the listeners are enthralled--all except Jerry the mouse, who lives just below the stage and is trying to get some sleep. A battle royal between cat and mouse ensues, with such weaponry as a rubber band, a lemon, and a drill. . .until Jerry finally decides that "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
