This documentary takes viewers to a region of Russia that has been exploited by government and private companies alike for decades. The area was heavily forested until it was used for its lumber. In the 1960s, the Communist government built an immense power plant on the coast, near the city of Balagansk. With interviews of local residents, the documentary tells the story of the power plant and the effects it has had on the land and inhabitants.
