The most extraordinary thing about this drama is that the film is composed entirely of black-and-white still photographs. It is also extraordinary because, by all reports, that device works fairly well on the storytelling level. The story itself is fairly simple. It concerns a model's recuperation after being mauled by a tiger. The model finds a sanctuary in an artist's studio in the south of France, and his patience with her and with his own art are one big part of her recovery. Another big part of her recovery is her discovery of art itself, especially the statues of Jean Arp.
