The heroine of this Pathe one-reeler is nothing if not demanding. The girl, a countess, is courted by two handsome noblemen. When both men declare that they would die for the love of their lady fair, the countess puts them to a test. Pointing to a high stone wall in her garden, she tells both men that she will marry whichever one of them is willing to climb upon a bicycle and ride head-first into the wall. Naturally, one of the suitors wimps out, while the other one plows himself into the wall -- only to discover to his relief that it is made of paper! One wonders if Testing Their Love was the inspiration for the "chicken run" in 1955's Rebel Without a Cause (probably not).
