One wonders if the original French title of this Pathe single-reeler was as "punny" as its English-language moniker. Warned by his wife to be careful while crossing streets, a young husband ignores her advice, with disastrous results. Run over by a speeding automobile, the poor fellow's leg is cut off (an amusing if gruesome "trick shot"). He picks up the severed limb and hops home, wondering how he will explain this "amputation" to his wife. En route, the leg gets misplaced, passing through several hands before it ends up in the possession of a legless peddler. This worthy screws the leg onto one of his stumps, dancing about in glee as the film closes. Variety dismissed this morbid comedy as "too silly" for adult tastes.
