Summer Boarding was the September 1917 entry in Victor Moore's "Klever Komedies" series for Paramount release. With a running time of only one reel, the film wastes no time getting down to its plot, which concerns Moore's efforts to enjoy a bit of relaxation in a summer lodge called "Restful Vista." Soon, however, the hero and his family discover that their home away from home is not quite as "restful" as it's cracked up to be. In fact, by film's end, the beleaguered Moore is all too happy to return to the hustle and bustle of city life. A cute "framing" gag involves a pompous doctor who advises Moore to take a vacation for his nerves -- and who ends up being throttled for his troubles.
