Explorer Allan Langdale directs and emcees the adventure travel documentary Stones of Famagusta, in which he undertakes a majestic journey to Famagusta, Cyprus. An ancient city founded around 300 A.D. on the settlement of Arsinoe, Famagusta immediately (and justly) gained a reputation for sporting some of the most majestic and splendid architecture in the world - and much of it is still extant, though the city made the World Monument's Funds list of the 100 Most Endangered Architecture Sites in 2008. With Stones of Famagusta, Langdale (a veteran archaeologist) tours the city on his bicycle, and both recounts and points out the discoveries he has made in the area. He then leads viewers on a journey through clandestine sites including underground churches, tunnels that run through the city, and a host of other unusual locales.
