The characteristically expert direction of Luis Amadori helps lift Sonar, No Cuesta Nada out of the ordinary. The title translates literally as Dream, It Costs Nothing, a philosophy adhered to religiously by idealistic attorney Francisco Alvarez. When his two best friends come to him seeking a divorce, Alvarez manages to delay the proceedings for several years, hoping against hoping that the couple will reconcile. When this finally happens, our hero must contend with the comic complications arising from the reconciliation. The film is stolen by the Legrand Twins, a pair of 15-year-old singers who'd risen to fame on South American radio.
