This documentary allows French AIDS (it is called SIDA there) to speak for themselves about the impact this syndrome (collection of diseases) has had on their lives. Parents with AIDS speak movingly about their fears that they will soon leave their children orphaned, while others speak with passion about the national scandal wherein French blood-bank officials knowingly allowed blood supplies to be contaminated with the HIV (LAV) virus. Interviews cover the full spectrum of those affected, from gay men and heterosexual drug addicts to hemophiliacs and married blood-transfusion recipients.
