Told from the point of view of a young daughter, this is an engaging family drama by director Shin Sang Okk, naturally tinged with Korean cultural norms. The mother has been widowed and she and her daughter live alone until one day the mother accepts a boarder. As the mother and the boarder get to know each other better it becomes obvious that they are falling in love, yet societal standards, not to mention a former mother-in-law, frown on remarriage. As the story unfolds, these barriers begin to weaken in the face of unexpected circumstances -- but will the widow herself be willing to defy societal pressures?
