Cinematographer turned director Guarav Jani captures the remarkable sights of one of the world's tallest mountains in this documentary. Serving as his own one-man crew, Jani hopped on a motorcycle for a journey to Changthang Plateau, a mountain range in India near the Chinese border where the average elevation is 15,000 feet and only a handful of hardy shepherds brave the highest peaks. Riding Solo To The Top Of The World shows how Jani made his film all by himself, as well as offering a remarkable chronicle of the people, places and things he encountered along the way, including ancient palaces, Buddhist retreats, a camp for Tibetan exiles, and other places that have rarely been seen or photographed by visitors. Riding Solo To The Top Of The World received its North American premiere at the 2007 Mill Valley Film Festival.
