This obscure Art Mix western was directed by Malon Andrus, almost certainly yet another pseudonym for the prolific Victor Adamson (aka Denver Dixon, aka Art James). Adamson had invented the character of Art Mix in order to get a free ride from a non-existent connection to Tom Mix. The latter naturally sued, but Adamson had hired a person legally named Arthur Mix to front his company and Tom lost the case. The enterprising producer appeared as Art Mix in the first couple of low-budget Westerns before relegating the "part" to others, including George Kesterson. Kesterson was Art Mix in Rider of Mystery Ranch, and the film also featured Dorothy Woods, Merrill McCormick and sagebrush femme fatale Gene Crosby.
