Another of Pathe's many travelogues, Rhinefall at Schaufhausen featured several images already seen in such "scenics" as Eclipse's A Trip Along the Rhine. Most critics were blasé about the film, saying in effect that if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Following the standard Pathe operating procedure, the film was color-tinted by hand, frame by frame. One can only assume that the tinters were accurate in their renderings. If they hadn't been, they would certainly have been called on the carpet by the residents of Schaufhausen.
