A soldier home from the war struggles to come to terms with what he did and saw on the field of battle in this drama from Israeli filmmaker Yossi Somer. A young man sent to the front lines of war is thrown into violent and traumatic circumstances, and emerges in a severe state of emotional shock. Once he's shipped back home, the soldier is sent to a military hospital where he undergoes group therapy as he and a number of other veterans try to understand the horrors of war, the toll battle took on their bodies and minds, and how they can emerge to once again live peaceful and productive lives. 1989's Resisim was the first feature film from writer and director Somer; he wouldn't complete another feature for ten years until the release of The Dybbuk in 1998.
