Trude Dothan has enjoyed a long and successful career as one of Israel's leading archeologists, well known for her work on the Philistines and as a recipient of the Israel Prize. However, Trude has not always enjoyed a cordial relationship with her son Dani Dothan, a musician, author and artist with a string rebellious streak. When Trude had an accident and was forced to stay in her apartment for several weeks while she healed, Dani moved in to help her out, only to discover just how remarkable his mother's collection of artifacts truly is. As Dani attempts to organize and catalog Trude's many drawings, writings, objects and art pieces (including a life mask), he gains a new perspective on his mother as they discover sides of one another they never knew about before. Filmmaker Dalia Mevorach worked in collaboration with Dani Dothan to make a documentary about Trude Dothan and her son's relationship with her in the film Queen of Jerusalem (aka Malkat Yerushalyaim). The film was an official selection at the 2010 Palm Beach International Film Festival.
