This Kalem release was advertised as an "Indian Subject," which in 1909 was a popular movie genre. A cowboy falls in love with an Indian girl, much to the dismay of her tribal sweetheart. Conspiring with the girl's father, the Indian rival plots to bump off his paleface competition. Just as the white hero is about to be plunged into a watery grave, he is rescued by his Native American sweetheart. Now contrite, the heroine's father begs his future son-in-law's forgiveness. Virtually all of Pale Face's Wooing was filmed outdoors, though exactly where is not known.
