Bedekar Vishram directs this mildly satirical comedy about the modern pretension of India's middle class. Dhananjay (Baburao Pendharkar) was brought up in a traditional family but is married to his progressive-minded wife Chitra (Shanta Hublikar), who, along with her sister Banu (Indu Natu) and her brother-in-law, are absolute fanatics about birth control. Chitra's convictions are put to the test when she and Dhananjay move to his ancestral village. Though she valiantly tries to educate the villagers, she gets nowhere and ultimately gets pregnant herself -- much to the horror of her older sister.
