Eric Mueller gives us a strong, simple narrative told with noteworthy compassion and philosophical resonance. An elderly man suddenly feels compelled to leave a photograph of himself at his wife’s grave after his refrigerator breaks down. Formally and thematically, the film has the quality of a document: both objectifying and making metaphor of this man’s experience.
