This color documentary depicts the 1963 Winter Olympic Games as they took place in the beautiful town of Innsbruck, Austria. At the foot of the Tirolese Mountains, director Theo Hoermann captures usual winter athletic events and blends them with various aspects of Austrian culture such as yodeling and local folk tales. The film is geared to the Austrian audience rather than for international consumers and was Austria's official entry at the 1964 Berlin Film Festival.
