Evidently the "Klever Komedies" series with Victor Moore had a large and loyal following, else why would Moore continue churning out such one-reel farces as Oh, Pop! on a monthly basis? When his wife leaves town to visit a sick friend, Moore volunteers to do the housework and look after the children. Inevitably, he realizes that he has bitten off more than he can chew, and his comic frustration is intensified when a next-door neighbor deposits her unruly kids on Moore's doorstep. The film climaxes with an all-stops-out "battle royal," with cream puffs and other such gooey pastries as the weapons of choice. Though his talents were better suited to musical comedy, Victor Moore excelled in this rawer form of buffoonery.
