Sizzling with sex, violence, and stylistic extravagance, Not Love, Just Frenzy is a spirited journey into the polysexual universe of its posse of twenty-something Spaniards. In their provocative film debut, the collective of filmmakers known as “Frenetic Films” has created a sexual comedy of flagrant audacity and outrageous excess.
Under suspicion for the brutal killing of one of his clients, gigolo Max returns to Madrid seeking refuge in his jilted lover Yeye. As Yeye wrestles with her conflicted emotions, her voracious roommate Monica conspires to screw Max senseless. Having been spurned by Carlos, the “boy next door,” their third roommate Maria has taken to scouring lonely-hearts ads in her quest for affection. In a case of mistaken identity, the apple in her lusty eye proves to be Luis, the deviant undercover cop investigating Max. As Luis shadows Max, Max pursues Yeye, Monica tempts Max, and Maria pines for Carlos, their art-school friend Alberto sets his sights on seducing a young, straight Adonis named David. Immersing its audience in the psychedelic landscape and technopounding rhythms of its glamour-trash locale, Not Love, Just Frenzy is a most scintillating assault on the senses.
