Take a look at the title, and just guess what happens in this 200-foot Vitagraph comedy. After consuming the titular fruit, an attractive young woman withdraws to her bath. A few moments later, she re-emerges, howling in agony. For the remainder of the day, she continues to suffer the after-effects of the tainted apple, most nauseatingly while taking a bumpy streetcar ride. When originally released in New York, the film was accompanied by a "live" narrator, who insisted upon interpolating his own inappropriate sound effects (for example, the woman's stomach ache was conveyed by the sound of a bleating sea lion!)
