South Korean independent filmmaker Nam Ki-woong follows up his cult feature Teenage Hooker Becomes Killing Machine in Daehakroh with the less absurdly titled Never Belongs to Me. Gi-tae (Kim Byung-chun) meets what is apparently a half-man/half-tiger named Gun-tae (Kang Hyun-joong) and ill-advisedly convinces the creature that they are brothers. Gun-tae begins leaving "gifts" like dead animal carcasses, at Gi-tae's home, and trying to find a woman for his "brother." He abducts the attractive Hyung-gyi (Ye Su-an), who has problems of her own, having been transformed into a cyborg prostitute by a trio of evil gangsters and a mad scientist, Dr. Hell (Lee Sang-hun). The gangsters eventually target Gi-tae, apparently angered by his receiving two hard-boiled eggs (instead of the traditional single egg) in his order of noodles at a local shop. After being beaten and maimed by them, Gi-tae wants revenge. Hyung-gyi and Dr. Hell are kind enough to assist him by replacing his genitalia with a gun that fires when Gi-tae reaches climax. Armed with this unique weapon, Gi-tae is ready to take on the world, but he learns the hard way that revenge is not so sweet, and that his new firearm has its drawbacks. Never Belongs to Me had its North American premiere at Subway Cinema's 2007 New York Asian Film Festival.
