Filmmaker Ivana Milosevic fled her native Bosnia in 1996, seeking exile in the Czech Republic to escape the brutality and mayhem that had taken over her country. In 2006, Milosevic decided to pay a visit to the nation she had left behind, and she brought a small camera crew along to record what she saw. Never Been Better is Milosevic's documentary account of Bosnia-Herzegovina as the survivors of an epic-scale tragedy work to rebuild their homes and their nation. During her journey, Milosevic visits Croatian survivors who boast of what they saw, attends memorial events for both Serbs and Muslims, and stops at a tavern where drink fuels frequent discussion of the war and its aftermath. Nikdy Nebylo Lip (aka Never Been Better) received its North American premiere at 2007's Hot Docs International Film Festival.
