The wealthy David Dane (Wilfrid North, who also directed) is married to Alice (Lillian Walker), who is many years his junior. He spends most of his time in his work, while she is a flirtatious social butterfly. Gambler Rex Gordon (Donald Hall) tries to take advantage of the situation, but she turns him down flat. What he was really after was her valuable pearl necklace anyway, so one night he sneaks into her bedroom to steal it. But he isn't the only one -- a vindictive, down-on-his-luck broker, Jasper Dicey (William Dunn), is there on the same mission. Dane catches both men in his wife's bedroom and is ready to shoot Gordon, when Dicey explains why both of them are there. Since they were only after a necklace, and not his wife's virtue, he allows them to leave unscathed. The escapade brings the Danes closer together.
